A truly beautiful low growing ground cover type plant is called the portulaca or sometimes known as the sun rose or moss rose.
About the Product:
Portulaca grandiflora is a succulent flowering plant in the family Portulacaceae.
Portulaca flowers open during the day, so plant them where they can be seen during midday hours. The low-growing plants are excellent for edging beds or slipping into outer corners. portulaca with taller flowers that like full sun.
Rose moss is an annual plant growing about 20cm tall. It is widely cultivated as an ornamental plant in tropical to warm temperate zones. Portulaca is covered with many large, semi-double flowers throughout the warm months to form a cheerful summer ground cover or trailing plant. The blooms need sunlight to open, so they close in the evening and on cloudy days.

- Carefully remove the plants from the boxes and packaging around the plants.
- Once you have removed the covering, check the moist, top soil feels dry to dry, water to the plant and place them in indirect sunlight for a few days.
- This should help your plant acclimate to your home and bounce back from transit shock.

Sunlight: Morning sunlight of more than 6 hours a day is ideal for plant growth.

Soil: The soil should be well drained, fertile and rich in organic content for growing plant.

Watering: Poke your finger/plain small stick into the soil to check the moisture. Do not over-water the plant. As a rule of thumb, water the plants thoroughly in summer and reduce watering in winter and rainy season. Water should be applied preferably in the morning or evening.

Application of Fertilizer: Before application of fertilizer loosen the topsoil without disturbing the roots of the plant so, it can uptake the nutrients and moisture easily. Apply organic fertilizer twice a month. Apply water immediately after application of fertilizer.

Plant Protection: Remove dead, infected or damaged plant parts and discard them away from the plants.
- For any insect attack or disease, you can use Neem oil, Karanja oil spray for primary treatment.
