White Wax Coating on Leaves and Stem Honey Dew Like Secretion

1. White cotton like masses made of bugs appear on the underside of leaves, stems, flowers and fruits.
2. Infestation can lead to lead to yellowing curling of young leaves, stunted growth of the plants and early fall of fruits.
3. The bugs excrete honeydew during sap-sucking and this makes the tissues sticky and prone to be colonized by bacteria and fungi.
4. Ants may be attracted by the honeydew and may spread the pest to other plants. 

 Cultural control: -

1. Collection and destruction of the infected plant parts.
2. Eradicate weeds in and around the field.
