White Powdery Growth On Leaves

Cause: Powdery mildew

Symptoms detailing

1. White-powdery fungal growth observed on upper and lower surface of leaves.
2. Symptoms develop first on older leaves, shaded lower leaves, lower leaf surfaces, and on older bearing plants.
3. Infected leaves shrivel and die; plants may senesce prematurely.
4. Heavy infection of powdery growth affects on photosynthetic activity of plant.

 Management

Cultural:

1. Choose planting sites with good air movement and free of shade. Use resistant variety.
2. Collection and destruction of infected leaves

 Biological: 

1. Spraying of Recover Nutri @0.5gm/L + Geomycin @0.5gm/L.
2. Spraying of Pseudomonas fluorescens +Bacillus subtilis @5g/L.
