Irregular Shaped Galleries or Grey Lines on Leaves

1. Irregular or serpentine pale grey lines appear on both sides of the leaf blades as the larvae feed.
2. These burrows are usually limited by the leaf and contain black fecal.
3. Entire leaves may be covered with mines.
4. Damaged leaves may drop prematurely.
5. Infestation starts from lower leaves, complete defoliation of plant in severe cases.

 Management

Cultural control: -

1. Collection and destruction of the infected leaves.
2. Use pheromone traps for early detection of pest.
