Rotting Occurs in Roots & Wilting/ Withering in Plants

1. Affected roots are brittle and show dark brown wavy lines of the fungus.
2. Red root disease: Affected bushes show a gradual yellowing of leaves and defoliation and death of plant.
3. Fusarium affected roots show dark red encrustation of the fungal mycelium.
4. Wilt: Affected plants show sudden wilting and yellowing of leaves leading to defoliation and death of aerial parts. Roots turn brown to pinkish.

Management

Cultural:

1. Seed treatment with Thiram or Captan 4g/kg.
2. Collect and destroy infected plant debris.

 Biological: 

1. Drenching of Trichodermaviride@5g/L
2. Drenching of Recover Nutri @75-100gm/Acre + Geomycin @75-100gm/Acre.
