Chlorotic Spots on the Leaves and Curling of Leaves

Cause : Whitefly

Nature of damage

1. Both Nymph and adult suck the cell sap and excrete honeydew on to it.
2. Development of sooty mould and Chlorotic spots on the affected tissue due to honey dew secretion.
3. Severe infestation results in premature defoliation.
4. It also transmits the leaf curl viral diseases.

 Management :  Cultural control:

1. Collection and destruction of the infected plant parts.
2. Use yellow/blue sticky traps.

 Chemical control:

1. Fipronil 80%WG@2gm/P+ Geo Neem @2ml/L
